Cummins gear housings are core transmission and sealing components custom-designed for K-series high-power diesel engines, covering K19 (19L), K50 (50L) and NT855 series models. Serving as the "power distribution hub" of the engine, the gear housing is integrally cast from high-strength alloy cast iron. It internally accommodates crankshaft gears, camshaft gears, fuel pump gears and multiple idler gears. Through precise meshing, it distributes crankshaft power to the valve train and fuel system, ensuring timing synchronization under heavy-load conditions. The Cummins K19/K50 gear housing is a core transmission and sealing component custom-designed for high-power V-type diesel engines of the K19 (19L) and K50 (50L) series. It is compatible with KTA19-C600 mining excavators, KTA50-C2000 mining dump trucks, 1000–2000kW stationary generator sets and large marine power equipment. Serving as the power distribution hub for the dual cylinder banks of V-type engines, this gear housing is integrally cast from high-strength alloy cast iron. It internally accommodates a crankshaft gear, dual camshaft gears, a fuel pump gear and multiple idler gears. Through precise meshing of gear sets, it distributes power from the crankshaft to the valve trains and fuel systems of both left and right cylinder banks. This synchronizes valve timing and fuel injection timing for the two cylinder banks when the engine operates under heavy loads and high speeds (1500–2000rpm), making it an essential base component that guarantees stable power output of high-horsepower engines.

Core Functions
- Power Distribution: The crankshaft gear drives dual camshaft gears to synchronously control the opening and closing of intake and exhaust valves on both left and right cylinder banks, and simultaneously drives the fuel pump gear to deliver precise injection timing for all cylinders.
- Lubrication & Heat Dissipation: Internal oil galleries connect to the engine lubrication system, supplying continuous pressurized oil film protection for gears and bearings. Heat dissipation ribs on the housing improve heat dispersion to prevent gear abrasion caused by high-temperature annealing.
- Auxiliary Drive: Drives water pump, oil pump and air compressor to maintain normal operation of the engine's cooling, lubrication and air supply systems.
